What Hydroseeding Includes

Ground prep
Lumps, rocks and weeds come out first, then we fine grade the area with fresh loam so the seed has a clean, level bed.

Hydroseed application
Seed, mulch and fertilizer are sprayed on together in one even layer, which holds on slopes and covers large areas quickly.
A Recent Job: New Lawn in Andover
In Andover we removed the lumps and weeds from a tired yard, fine graded it with new loam and hydroseeded a new lawn. The work took two days.
In Reading, hydroseeding finished off a bigger drainage project: a retaining wall with proper drainage, a new patio, regrading and irrigation, then seed.
Good fits for hydroseed
- New construction and bare lots
- Lawn renovations after regrading or drainage work
- Slopes and large open areas
- Commercial sites that need grass established

Hydroseeding Questions
What is hydroseeding?
A mix of seed, mulch and fertilizer sprayed onto prepared soil in one even layer. The mulch holds moisture and keeps the seed in place while it germinates.
Do you prepare the ground first?
Yes. We remove lumps and weeds and fine grade with fresh loam before seeding. Prep is most of what makes a new lawn come in even.
Is hydroseeding cheaper than sod?
It’s usually a cost-effective way to start a new lawn, especially on larger areas. Greg will price both the prep and the seeding after he sees the site.
Do you do commercial sites?
Yes, homes and commercial properties.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes.
